To obtain immediately income of poor people Kurilo, Aloevera, Lemon grass, Allo, incense making, Bee-keeping, Bio-briquette, Wood carving etc has been promoted. Entrepreneurship Development plan is prepared on the base of Value Chain analysis.

Soil Conservation on Chure area

To protect and conserve the frazil Chure mountain participatory bio-engineering dam construction, establishment of conservation pond, degraded agriculture land reclaimed, plantation/forest management activities, NTFPs/IGA, upper and downstream relationship awareness programme has been conducting.

PROGRAMME INTRODUCTION

Biodiversity Sector Programme for Siwaliks and Tarai (BISEP-ST) is sector wide programme to promote the management of forests and conservation of biodiversity in and Siwaliks. The overall boal of BISEP-ST is to manage forest sustainable and to conserve their biodiversity through the participation of local stakeholders. Moreover, it aims to contribute reducing poverty by fostering sustainable production and equitable distribution of forest products revenue generation. BISEP-ST has two programme purposes: the enhancement of forest governance for sustainable management of natural resources and biodiversity conservation, and enhancement of the livelihoods of poor and forest dependent people.
